Employment Status: Hybrid Full-Time

Salary: Base Salary + Uncapped Commission | $65,000 - $80,000 Expected First Year Earnings

Schedule: Full Time | M–F

Position Summary

The Medicare Sales Representative is responsible for educating Medicare-eligible individuals on their healthcare coverage options while building lasting client relationships through consultative sales and exceptional service. This role combines company-provided leads with an established client base while continuing to grow your own book of business through referrals, community involvement, and company-generated opportunities. Success in this role comes from building trusted relationships, providing exceptional service, and becoming a valued resource within the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with prospective Medicare beneficiaries and guide them through their coverage options
  • Educate clients on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, and related products
  • Conduct client consultations by phone, virtually, and in person to identify coverage needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Follow up on company-provided leads while actively developing referral relationships and prospecting opportunities within the community
  • Attend networking events, educational seminars, community events, and other business development opportunities as needed
  • Maintain accurate client records within agency systems and document all client interactions
  • Ensure compliance with all CMS regulations, carrier requirements, and company policies
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales and enrollment process while fostering long-term client relationships
  • Maintain strong personal initiative, professionalism, and commitment to providing outstanding client experiences
  • Perform additional sales or administrative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Active NYS Health Insurance License preferred; licensing sponsorship available for qualified candidates
  • Medicare insurance experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with a proven track record in sales, relationship management, or customer service who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build trust and establish long-term client relationships
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple prospects and prioritize daily activities
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook
