Job description

As a Senior Program Manager within our Orthopedics New Product Development organization, you will play a critical role in bringing innovative medical technologies from concept to commercialization. Based in Memphis, TN, this role offers the opportunity to lead complex, global development programs, influence cross functional teams and shape how we deliver life changing solutions for patients around the world.
What will you be doing?
  • Leading large and complex new product development and product platform programs from ideation through commercialization across Orthopedics portfolios including Hips, Knees, Shoulders, Trauma and Extremities
  • Driving program strategy, planning, execution, progress tracking and transparent communication across global cross functional teams
  • Partnering closely with R&D, Marketing, Quality, Operations and Regulatory Affairs to ensure delivery against business needs and regulatory requirements
  • Establishing and owning program KPIs, ensuring alignment to governance standards and business objectives
  • Facilitating decision making related to scope, budget, schedule, quality and lifecycle management
  • Acting as a change leader by improving PMO and NPD processes, driving continuous improvement and embedding standard ways of working
  • Influencing senior stakeholders through clear executive level communication and presentation

What will you need to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. A Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of program or project management experience leading large, complex new product development programs in a medical device or regulated environment
  • Hands on experience developing new products from concept through launch at a global scale
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional, geographically dispersed teams, ideally within a multinational organization
  • Strong understanding of product development, regulatory pathways and quality systems including direct involvement in regulatory clearance for Class II or Class III products
  • Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
  • Project or product management certifications such as PMP, SAFe, Scrum, Prince2, IPMA or equivalent are strongly preferred
