Job Summary:

Provide outstanding service and salesmanship to all customers. Will also serve customers by performing coffee/barista duties at our Quick Serve as well as help in all areas of the store including shipping.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as an ambassador and representative for the property, the Village of Los Ranchos, and Albuquerque
  • Surprise and delight all customers, providing the highest level of service possible
  • Serve all shareholders each day - customers, fellow team members, vendors, owners
  • Practice 10/4 rule of service for our customers at all times
  • Perform barista duties and serve customers in our Farm Foods market
  • Fulfill online orders and prepare items for shipments
  • Maintain clean work areas throughout the shop (POS, back room, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and well-merchandised farm shop, including appropriate signage
  • Practice proper stock rotation at all times
  • Learn and use Shopify Point of Sale system in an expedient manner
  • Maintain strong product knowledge throughout the shop
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet customers, patrons, or visitors.
  • Answer customer questions about goods or services. Gather customer or product information to determine customer needs
  • Distribute promotional literature or samples to customers. Market products, services, or events
  • Collect payments for goods or services
  • Represent the organization in external relations
  • Resolve customer complaints or problems
  • Inspect items for damage or defects
  • Clean work areas
  • Set up merchandise displays. Attach identification information to products, items or containers
  • Stock products or parts. Stock supplies or merchandise
  • Monitor inventories of products or materials
  • Study product information to acquire professional knowledge
  • Confer with organizational members to accomplish work activities

Requirements

  • 1 year of retail experience
  • Passionate about Los Poblanos mission, vision, and values
  • Able to clearly communicate with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Must be able sit, stand, bend, squat, reach and walk 8 to 10 hours a day
  • Able to grasp, lift, carry. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in short intervals throughout the day
  • Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred:

  • Barista experience
  • Interest in organic farming, agriculture, art, and architecture is a plus
