SierTeK is seeking an experienced Dive Instructor / Dive Equipment Maintainer to support the Special Tactics Training Squadron (STTS) at Hurlburt Field, FL.

Position Overview Section

The selected candidate will provide dive-related instruction, curriculum support, equipment maintenance, and subject matter expertise in support of Special Tactics training operations. This position supports the development and readiness of Air Force Special Warfare personnel through classroom, pool, open-water, and practical training environments. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide instruction and training support for military diving operations in accordance with approved Programs of Instruction (POI). 

  • Conduct classroom, pool, and open-water training events related to combat diving operations. 

  • Develop, review, and update lesson plans, course materials, and training documentation. 

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and document dive equipment in accordance with applicable technical guidance and safety requirements. 

  • Ensure accountability, serviceability, and proper storage of dive equipment and associated training assets. 

  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to enhance mission readiness and proficiency. 

  • Maintain training and maintenance records and ensure compliance with applicable standards and procedures. 

  • Collaborate with government personnel to support curriculum improvements and training effectiveness. 

Minimum Position Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance. 

  • Qualified as a Combat Diver/Dive Supervisor from an accredited USSOCOM school. 

  • Experience conducting military dive operations and supporting dive training programs. 

  • Experience maintaining, inspecting, and managing dive equipment and related life-support systems. 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. 

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior instructor or evaluator experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) diving programs. 

  • Experience developing or revising military training curriculum and courseware. 

  • Experience supporting Special Tactics, Air Force Special Warfare, or USSOCOM training environments. 

  • Familiarity with military dive safety programs, risk management procedures, and equipment accountability requirements.
