Cboe HQislocated inthe historic Old Post Officedistrict,it's a landmark that blends classic architecture with modern amenities. With its prime location in the heart of downtown, the OPO Building provides easy access to major transportation hubs, including Union Station and multiple CTA lines, making it convenient for commuters. PLEASE NOTE: To support strong partnership and team connection, this role follows a four day in office work model.

Position Summary:

USTeamLeadwith Cboe Global Indices (CGI).TheCGIteam currentlyresearches, designs,and implementsnew index strategiessupporting bothCboe'sbranded indicesandclient-owned indices.Manager of Index Operationscoordinatesthe dailycalculation,maintenanceand validation of CGI's indicesin the US, including client interaction, error handling, presenting toindex committees, and evaluating and building validation toolsto ensure compliance with control framework.This roleis primarily focused onderivativesand will additionally provide exposure toequities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs a combination of the followingfunctions:

  • Manage and expand team of index analystsin multiple offices

  • CalculateCGI's US suite of indices, covering optionsand equity,as wellas customizedcalculations

  • Dive into calculation challenges, confirming accuracy or evaluating and fixing calculation issues be it modeling, data, ormethodologyupdates

  • SupportTheoretical Options Pricing Service (TOPS) includingonboarding,client support, andprocessenhancement

  • Responsible for team runningindex validationsand qualityassurancechecks, currently focused on scripting inPythonandR

  • Onboard newindicesfrom implementation team, includingmethodologyevaluationfor operational feasibilityandappropriate validations

  • Participate in index committee meetings toset direction for indexmethodologyenhancements, including suggesting andassistingwithmarket consultations

  • Helpestablishindex calculation standardsand quality assuranceto enable repeat applicationof calculation modules

  • Participate in client meetings toshow robustness of CGI calculations

  • Workcollaboratively with other Cboe departments on new index and benchmark launches,leadingthepost-launch supportfunction

  • Work onenhancement initiatives to support robust and scalableprocessesin linewith established control framework

  • Participate in regular incident review and internal postmortem, suggesting and implementing process improvement

Experience:

Minimum of5years options, equity, financialindexingand/or financialmarketsexperience in a related capacity.Managerial experience (team of2-6) preferred.

Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities:

  • Strongquantitative and programming skills; experience in Python,R,and SQLwith preference toPython

  • Experience with written documentation of projects

  • Strong background in index mathematics: writing, readingmethodologyformulas

  • Ability to solve non-routine problems

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience in atime sensitive environment with daily deadlines

  • Strong focus on training and onboarding new employees

Education:

  • BachelorsdegreeEngineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fieldrequired
  • Advanced degree preferred.

Salary Ranges (applicable for US locations only)

At Cboe, we are committed to providing a competitive, transparent, and marketinformed total rewards program. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $135,575-$175,450, with actual compensation determined by jobrelated factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.

This role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long-term equity programs.
