  • Support all safety programs ensuring a safe work environment

  • Review forecasts anddeterminelabor needs to meet daily, weekly, and monthly objectives

  • Meet with teamon a daily basisto balance labor ensuring that you areoperatinga balanced and efficient shift while meeting daily deadlines

  • Foster an environment that harbors continuous improvement and the elimination of non-value addedactivities

  • Ensure proper training of staffin order toeffectively and efficiently meet customer demand

  • Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce

  • Ensure materials are received from proper vendors, delivered toinventoryand finished goods, packaged according to specification, and shippedin a timely manner

  • Ensure qualityobjectivesare met whileoperatingwithin theallocatedbudget and meeting delivery deadlines while being flexible and working efficiently

  • Manage inventory control to ensure accountability of materials and goods

  • Establishappropriate communications(content and frequency) withteamto align focus and efforts with organizational and customer needs.

  • Establish and/ormodifyoperational methods and procedures as needed

  • Recommend changes to policies and procedures to improve area of responsibility or organization as a whole

  • Maintain documentation and prepare reports that reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities

  • Establish and manage goals forself and/orteam that meet or exceed departmental objectives

  • Collaborate with peer group, senior management, and field personnel to problem solve and/or resolves issues among functional areas, other sites, or customers and the company

  • Manage and sustain product traceability systems,utilizingWMS/Oracle, to support customer and quality requirements

  • Ensure health, safety and cleanliness of the work environment overseeing that inspection and maintenance of equipment is done on a regular basis

  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned


Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience
Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution environment

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience

  • Must havedemonstratedexperience in implementing inventory control systems, distribution operationsprogramsand continual improvement programs

  • Strong familiarity with MS Office applications

  • Prior WMS experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and local OSHA safety regulations related to warehousing and shipping environments

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Mustpossessa customer-centric commitment to build andmaintaincustomer relationships

  • Energetic,self-motivatedand quick thinking with a positive attitude

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with Oracle or comparable Supply Chain/Logistics systems

  • Experience with a Warehouse Management System
