Job description

PURPOSE
This position will be a key leader in the adidas Indy organization and be involved in strategic planning and tactical decision making as it relates to processes, staffing, and capacity planning. Provide effective leadership and direction for the Inbound Distribution Operations in Indianapolis, with full accountability for all aspects of Inbound Distribution departments. Ensure operational KPI targets are achieved while cultivating the adidas INDY culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all aspects of people and processes of Inbound Distribution departments in Indianapolis, including Forklift, Receiving, and Shipping.
- Provide direction and establish expectations for shift managers. Ensure accountability on all levels.
- Devise a strategic vision for Inbound Distribution Operations and ensure goals are accomplished with regards to customer service levels, throughput/productivity, inventory accuracies, CPUs, and operational improvement projects. Maintain a focus on operational efficiencies in order to maximize company margins and to deliver the highest quality product on time.
- Responsible for establishing, monitoring, and maintaining an annual budget for Inbound departments.
- Maintain and report upon monthly departmental KPIs and devise necessary action plans to ensure operational metrics are achieved.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to identify and execute a staffing plan to support operational volume forecasts.
- Represent Inbound Distribution Operations in dealings with other internal supply chain partners and stakeholders.
- Actively seek opportunities to develop and grow direct reports through education, internal exposure to new and different processes, and generally challenging them to think and act strategically.
- Ensure the leadership framework mindset is cultivated within the operation.
- Present and sell recommendations to all levels of management.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Distribution or Logistics (or like discipline) required.
- 5-7 years of management experience in a distribution/logistics environment (or like industry) desired.
- Proven expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to influence cross-functional teams.
