Work is among moving aircraft, vehicles and machinery. * May be required to work multiple shifts to include shift work, weekends, holidays and overtime. Subject to recall on other shifts and work extended hours.

* This position is designated by the Air Force (AF) as a testing designated position under the AF Civilian Drug Testing Program. Incumbent is subject to random drug testing. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-5400 Industrial Equipment Operation Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the work of a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER SUPERVISOR without more than normal supervision. JOB ELEMENTS: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: * Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade( s) and/ or craft( s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment. * Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.

Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to trades supervised. * Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

* Knowledge of the operation of one or several complex workstations in fuel storage and distribution systems. Knowledge of methods used in the load, unload, transfer, and storage of liquid fuels and cryogenic products. * Knowledge of the methods used to gauge tanks before, during, and at the end of fuel operations.

Skill in manipulating numerous controls to properly regulate the flow of liquids in a safe and efficient manner. * Skill in operating various types of pumps and other fuel distribution equipment. Skill in performing routine operator maintenance and minor repair of items such as tanks, pumps, motors, and valves.
