Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the sale of the company's products with a focus on distributors and direct-sales accounts in Ohio. This position manages and coordinates the activities of the company's branded sales efforts including development, execution and administration of regional sales programs, objectives, and profit margins. This position is a remote position.

Reports To:  Regional Sales Manager, East - North, Central

 Job Responsibilities
  • Achieves sales and profit plan for assigned region to achieve company growth and profit objectives.
  • Participates in trade shows as a means to introduce new and seasonal products, expand penetration of current products and obtain new accounts through use of show promotions.
  • Seeks new distributor relationships, where necessary, to sell product in selected geographic locations or to assist in penetrating targeted accounts.
  • Maintain and improve current distributor relationship to increase sales activity.
  • Implements proactive strategies to achieve sales goals and target accounts within market.
  • Keeps abreast of competitor information, customer policy changes, and market trends for Ohio Valley region.
  • Manage multiple broker groups using an Objective Sales Plan as to maximize sellers face time by providing clear direction and expectations.
  • Track pipeline of opportunities and report on them weekly.
  • Report weekly wins
  • Spends 50% of time in-market developing relationships with both new & existing prospects. This includes cold calling & working with distribution sales partners.
  • Spends 50% of time managing administrative responsibilities including but not limited to:
    • Processing Sample requests
    • Processing pricing requests
    • Forecasting & Demand Planning new & existing sales opportunities
    • Analyzing market data trends for current customer base
    • Managing/processing credit & return requests
    • Sales Reporting
  • Willingness to work & travel on the weekends
  • Oversee all aspects of account management, including order fulfillment, credit account status, training, and demonstration of product, etc.
  • Supports, demonstrates and promotes the philosophy and company mission of Novolex.
  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
 Qualifications:  Experience, Competencies and Education
  • General understanding of foodservice distribution and disposables markets
  • Ability to manage all aspects of supplier relationship management
  • Ability to build strong relationships with distributors and close sales
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service skills and the genuine desire to negotiate win/win situations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team to achieve goals
  • Ability to self-manage remotely including strong planning and time management skills
  • Strong presentation skills both to customers and internal contacts to include PowerPoint preparation and presentation
  • Self-motivated and willingness to prospect for new accounts & sales opportunities
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
  • Proficient in Excel & other data analysis applications
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to resolve issues between internal and external stakeholders
  • Desired Education Level:  BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1-3 years of relevant Industry experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license
 Work Environment

This is a full- time, remote,  exempt position requiring travel and work outside of normal business hours. Some physical labor is required in addition to working weekends at trade shows.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000 - $85,000 + bonus + benefits.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience and relevant education or training.  At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
