Job description

The Distribution Coordinator is an entry-level contributor that provides administrative support to the department and works with various individuals inside and outside the organization. This role will be responsible for assisting and coordinating distribution and logistics activities, inventory management, and timely delivery of products, while providing excellent customer service to drivers and facility visitors. 
2nd Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
  • Greet drivers and other facility visitors.
  • Assist drivers with check-in and check-out processes.  
  • Generate and analyze various reports using company systems for the department.
  • Maintain and update departmental filing systems and databases for recordkeeping.
  • Interact with customers and various departments inside and outside the organization.
  • May assist with accounts payable regarding invoices, billing, and statements.
  • May assist with scheduling to ensure accuracy of shipments and to help with distribution productivity.
  • Assist with maintaining various compliance needs for the department.
  • Gain understanding of company operations and industry trends; assist with identification of potential process improvements.
  • Actively participate in group activities and collaborate with team.
  • Participate in generating alternative solutions and evaluating their feasibility.
  • Identify, define, and address problems that are standard, readily identifiable, and typically within the immediate job area.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 0-2 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

Competencies:
  • Applies conceptual knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures within a discipline.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Previous knowledge of various industry software preferred.
