Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (TTH)

Schedule: On-site | Monday–Friday | 8AM–5PM

Position Overview

Our growing team is seeking a detail-oriented Payments and Vendor Operations Agent to support payment operations, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. This role is responsible for reviewing payment transactions, identifying fraud trends, processing chargebacks, maintaining accurate documentation, and partnering with internal teams to resolve payment-related issues. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working with payment platforms and customer support systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review payment transactions to identify suspicious activity and fraud trends.
  • Process and submit chargebacks accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and evidence related to payment disputes and fraud investigations.
  • Conduct audits of payment transactions and vendor operations.
  • Investigate customer payment disputes and determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment and operational issues.
  • Organize and interpret transaction data to identify patterns and support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and payment processing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates on case status.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience resolving payment disputes using Zendesk.
  • Experience in fraud investigation, payment operations, compliance, or collections.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret, organize, and manage data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with the following platforms is highly preferred: Zendesk, PayPal, Braintree, Ethoca
  • Candidates with backgrounds in payment disputes, fraud prevention, compliance, banking, financial services, or medical collections are encouraged to apply.
