Dutchess Cannabis of West Roxbury is looking to hire a Dispensary Assistant Manager!
The Assistant Manager, in cooperation with the Leadership Team, General Manager and other ASM's, is responsible for the execution of the retail store - best-in-class customer experiences with efficient sales operations that drive profitable top line sales. All Assistant Manager duties and responsibilities must be executed with a commitment to the values of Ascend Wellness Holdings and its subsidiaries, and in a manner that supports our team, customers, and communities.
If you have a passion for People and Operations, then this is the role to continue with your personal growth. Your Operational Retail skills with help you bring clarity to the Team and passion for People will give you the ability to empower your peers and direct reports to get results. Besides shared responsibilities you will focus on the Front of House, Service, or Back of House, Inventory.
MUST HAVES:
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' experience in lieu of degree, in a supervisory or management role in a retail setting, specifically with POS business operations
  • Ability to Hire a diverse staff by recruiting top talent with a diverse set of skills among candidates
  • Lead the Team through Learning and Development with Focused Coaching and Mentorship to drive desired behaviors and maximize staff success
  • Flexibility and willingness to work a combination of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business
  • Desire to learn and adapt with technology, digital tools, as it is a foundation of your business
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Must pass all required background checks and remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry
  • Obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operation
  • Have excellent organization and time management skills
  • Be Focused, and detail oriented
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment

WORK IN PARTNERSHIP OF THE GENERAL MANAGER:
  • Analyze key business metrics, create action plans, and achieve buy-in from the team
  • Maintain effective P&L management by driving sales growth by managing expenses, budgets, deposits, and accounts receivable
  • Oversee execution and maintenance of all retail operations, including workforce management, inventory reconciliation and technology solutions - Devices as well as Website, POS, Loyalty
  • Work with the Security and Compliance to ensure operations are to state regulations while making sure all diversion/theft/loss prevention security policies and practices are being followed
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with key regulators, inspectors, and law enforcement personnel.
  • Maintain a consistent focus on customer loyalty and create engaging and resonant customer experiences.
  • Ensure that store appearance is in line with corporate standards.
  • Oversee, Influence, and sign off on purchasing from our wholesale partners.
  • Lead and champion innovation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Management Team
  • Team Performance including workload while addressing deficiencies and Performance Management
  • Ensure clear, consistent team communication by leading weekly manager's meetings and monthly team meetings
