Your Role

 

Dispatch Coordinator

 

Shift and Hours: 1st – 8:00am to 4:30pm, flexible to adjust schedule to start earlier or stay later

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Pay: $30 per hour

As a Dispatch Coordinator with us, you’ll work onsite to support our customer to manage all vehicle related support services provided to the fleet and related support vehicles to include vehicle maintenance, license and title actions, vehicle records, DOT compliance (vehicle related only), environmental issues related to vehicles and vehicle operation, and any other task directly or indirectly related to vehicle or fleet operations, supporting special projects, as needed

 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Develop Fleet Strategy and Management Plans

  • Works with local dispatchers to maximize profitability, decrease costs and increase efficiency
  • Managing Samsara tracking software by adding new and existing vehicles, users, purchasing of new equipment, editing permissions, learning the software for optimal use

 

Ensures Vehicle Safety Records, Upkeep, Procurement and Sales

  • Oversee routine and ad hoc maintenance, obtain tags for new vehicles and renew old ones to ensure schedule fleet management
  • Monitor and ensure fleet operation in compliance with local and state rules and regulations
  • Works with Safety Manager to complete accident investigations, corrective actions for unsafe drivers, and ensure DOT compliance
  • Perform vehicle registration, insurance and CHP formalities and documentation regarding induction of new vehicles in existing fleet
  • Manage fleet including keeping up to date on leasing maintenance requirements. 

Dispatching

  • Analyze dashboards for all jobs to plan, coordinate/schedule and give directions to all available employees while using available resources to ensure timely, damage free, safe packing/delivery/loading/unloading of company and client’s products
  • Assist with the day-to-day situations in the field                                        
  • Research and escalate situations with management as needed
  • Work with Customer: Service/Sales and other departments to schedule on-site inspections
  • Creates and prioritize route documentation for pick-ups (scheduled, missed, extra pick-ups), route and job completions
  • Handles incoming service orders with a sense of urgency
  • Assigns local routes and service tickets/orders to appropriate personnel throughout the day and for the next day
  • Provide warehouse assistance as needed.
  • Track and manage incoming and outgoing logistics shipments using our Worldtrak software

Required Qualifications

  • Possess strong technical and solid business analysis skills: in depth knowledge of current fleet management and maintenance related information
  • technologies, systems and concepts and their application to the fleet
  • 5 years of Dispatch of 4 or more drivers
  • Drivers experience
  • Forklift certification
  • Warehousing experience
