We are Peak Logistics, and our goal is to make Amazon history while empowering you to further your personal and professional goals. We are located at the DWA5 facility, in Maple Valley, WA.

We are looking for an individual with a VERY flexible schedule, and the ability to work our back half schedule (Tue-Sat). Expect to work 5 8-10 hour days.

As a Operations Manager, you will be required to go through the same onboarding process & driver training as Delivery Associates, and are required to perform deliveries and gain hands-on experience to understand the job of a Delivery Associate . Although this is Operations Management job, on any given working day, you may be expected to drive & deliver packages alongside our Delivery Associates. This position includes paid training and paid sick leave.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and Manage weekly schedule for drivers
  • Hire and onboard Delivery Drivers
  • Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets for tracking daily, weekly, and quarterly performance of individual Delivery Drivers and the company as a whole
  • Create and manage operation budgets.
  • Coach and develop Delivery Drivers and Dispatch Associates based on performance metrics
  • Lead and drive company performance metrics--safe driving, delivery completion rates, daily and weekly delivery capacity rates
  • Track, maintain, and support maintenance of the fleet of vehicles
  • Monitor progress of Delivery Driver Associates throughout the day and coordinate / prioritize package rescues, as needed.
  • Address Delivery Driver Associate problems and requests by communicating directly with Amazon personnel and providing solutions.
  • Receive emergency and non-emergency phone calls from Delivery Driver Associates and document all information, incidents, and issues.
  • Enter data in various systems and Google documents, maintain logs, record calls, activities and other information.
  • Prioritize phone calls according to urgency and importance.
  • Use a mobile phone and computer to manage communications with Delivery Driver Associates and manage vehicles.
  • Monitor, notify and confirm Delivery Driver Associates clock out/in for lunch break(s) according to policy.
  • Utilizing GPS systems to monitor Delivery Driver Associates and track vehicles.
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect, re-fuel and safely operate company-provided transport vehicles, including, but not limited to, Extended Cargo Vans and Freightliner Step Vans.
  • Deliver packages on varying routes to numerous addresses, both business and residential.
  • Follow strict safety standards on and off the road.
  • Interact with Amazon customers and the public in a professional and positive manner.
  • Use handheld technology to manage the delivery process, and vehicle safety & maintenance procedures.
  • Safely drive and operate delivery vehicles periodically.
  • Other relevant duties as required.

  • Must be able to operate and navigate a delivery van.
  • Must consent to a 4-panel drug test, including DMV vehicle record check.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
