Sr. Manager, Strategy & Commercialization - Disney Games & Digital Entertainment

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and highly driven Sr. Manager of Strategy & Commercialization to support key aspects of our groundbreaking partnership with Epic Games in the development of an expansive new Disney digital universe connected to Fortnite.

In this high-impact role, you will be an integral part of partnering and growing Disney's relationship with Epic Games, while helping to shape the long-term strategy for Disney's new digital universe. You will partner closely with teams across the broader Disney Games & Digital Entertainment organization and cross-functional stakeholders across product, legal, and marketing to bring Disney brands to life in games for fans around the world.

This role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of games, IP, partnerships, and fan engagement, and can effectively lead projects end-to-end in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Director, Partnerships & Commercialization for Disney Games & Digital Entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a lead on day-to-day business initiatives between Disney and Epic Games, ensuring alignment across shared objectives, timelines, and KPIs.
  • Help shape and evolve the commercial strategy for Disney and Epic experiences, including business models, deal structures, monetization frameworks, and go-to-market planning.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across Disney Games product, legal, and marketing teams to support contract drafting, deal negotiation, and ensure smooth execution of joint initiatives.
  • Partner with the internal teams and broader Disney Entertainment organization to shape product strategies that maximize audience engagement, retention, and TWDC (The Walt Disney Company) value, and drive internal processes that enable the successful execution of core projects.
  • Track and manage performance across the portfolio, including revenue, profitability, and return on investment.
  • Build strong partnerships across Epic Games, Disney Games & Digital Entertainment, and broader TWDC teams to support business development initiatives, unlock interdependencies and foster collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in strategic consulting, business development, or partnerships, with a strong track record in games, streaming, or entertainment industries.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic frameworks and executive presentations with clear recommendations that influence decision-making across senior leadership teams.
  • Experience negotiating, structuring, and executing complex deals, including co-development, licensing, and commercial agreements in the gaming or entertainment space, preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate qualitative and quantitative data into actionable goals.
  • Deep understanding of the games industry ecosystem, including live service operations, UGC(User Generated Content), monetization models, and platform dynamics preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with experience building business cases, forecasting, and tracking performance metrics.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with ability to articulate complex strategic initiatives to partners and internal stakeholders in a thoughtful and persuasive manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while managing multiple high-priority initiatives with accelerated timelines through proactive problem solving and goal-oriented strategic approach
  • Passion for Disney storytelling, innovation in digital entertainment, and building world-class interactive experiences.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Education:

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $139,200.00 to $186,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
