Job description

Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is searching for a talented Full-Time Line Cook to join their culinary team! As an Official Walt Disney World Hotel, guests have access to exclusive Disney benefits including being directly connected to Disney Springs via Pedestrian Skybridge.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hotel line cook experience, including experience working as both a hot and cold line cook, with strong proficiency in prep work, knife skills, and a thorough understanding of cooking temperatures. They should exhibit a sense of urgency, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for the culinary arts. We are looking for a dedicated and driven professional ready to take the next step in their career. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential. Previous experience supporting breakfast operations, omelette stations, and flexibility to support banquets when needed is preferred.

Shift Pattern: This position will primarily support breakfast and lunch operations. Open availability is required, including morning shifts, evening shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Typical shift hours are between 5:00 AM and 4:00 PM; however, flexibility is needed for crosstraining. 

Pay Rate: $21.42 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Line Cook, you would be responsible for providing shift relief for breakfast, dinner, station and second cooks in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and established standards
  • Prepare and maintain quality control for hot food items including, but not limited to, meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks and seasonings
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
  • Stock and maintain par levels for designated food station(s)
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
