Job description

Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Enterprise Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support mission-critical enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role requires deep technical expertise across Windows, Linux, virtualization platforms, and cloud infrastructure, with storage and data protection serving as core supporting disciplines.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded engineer capable of working across multiple infrastructure layers, driving reliability, scalability, automation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure platforms, including:

    • Windows Server and Active Directory environments
    • Linux-based systems (RHEL, AlmaLinux, Ubuntu)
    • Hypervisors (VMware vSphere / ESXi or equivalent)
    • Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Architect and support highly available, scalable, and secure systems across hybrid environments.

  • Manage and optimize virtualization platforms, including VM lifecycle management, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

  • Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar tools.

  • Support and integrate storage and data protection platforms (e.g., Dell EMC, Rubrik, Veeam) to ensure data durability, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness.

  • Monitor system health and performance across compute, storage, and network layers; proactively identify and remediate risks.

  • Lead root cause analysis and incident resolution for complex, cross-platform infrastructure issues.

  • Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including backup validation and recovery testing.

  • Collaborate with network, security, application, and DevOps teams to align infrastructure design with business requirements.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive, audit-ready documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational runbooks.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance, security, and efficiency.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

  • Participate in on-call support rotation for critical infrastructure services.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 - 8+ yearsof experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering within data center and/or cloud-hosted environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience across enterprise infrastructure platforms
  • Experience integrating storage and data protection platforms (SAN/NAS, backup, replication, disaster recovery).
  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals, security best practices within a high available and fault-tolerant system design.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).Virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere / ESXi)
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as:

    • VMware (VCP)
    • Microsoft (Azure Administrator / Windows Server)
    • Linux (RHCSA/RHCE)
    • AWS or Google Cloud certifications
  • Experience with:
    • Infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
    • Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, SolarWinds, DataDog)
  • Exposure to enterprise storage and backup platforms:

    • Dell EMC (PowerScale, PowerStore, Unity)
    • Data protection solutions (Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault)
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and compliance frameworks (SOX, ISO, NIST).

Starting Compensation

Annual Salary: $85,000.00 - $121,800.00 (Amount based on office location, relevant experience, skills, and competencies)
