Description
Are you interested in providing support to families and youth in need of mental health services? If so, Devereux might have the right opportunity for you! We are looking to hire a passionate individual to join our team as a Foster Care Program Manager.
The Foster Care Program Manager oversees the daily operations and strategic direction of the agency's foster care and child welfare services. This role ensures high-quality, trauma-informed care for youth by managing in-home programming, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with all state licensing and accreditation standards. The Clinical Manager leads recruitment, licensing, and retention efforts for foster homes, building strong relationships with prospective and current foster parents to ensure a stable and nurturing network of caregivers. Responsibilities include program development, regulatory oversight, staff training, quality improvement, community outreach, and collaboration with social service partners. The Program Manager ensures that all placements support the safety, well-being, and permanency goals of children and youth in our care.
The job responsibilities of a Foster Care Program Manager at Devereux typically include:
  • Overseeing the foster care program, including managing staff and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve service delivery.
  • Managing budgets and resources to ensure efficient operation of the program.
  • Recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating employees within the foster care program.
  • Coordinating and supervising foster care services, ensuring that all foster homes and placements meet required standards.
  • Implementing recruitment and retention strategies for foster families and overseeing the licensing and re-licensing processes.
  • Conducting periodic inspections of foster homes and client records to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining relationships with community agencies and other local referral and funding sources.
  • Providing general support for foster families, including 24-hour on-call support and availability to receive and process placement calls and inquiries.
  • Developing and implementing in-service training programs for foster care staff in conjunction with the Director and other agency training programs.

Position Details:
Pay Range: Starts at $65,000 - $74,100 annually. Compensation based on experience and education.
Location: Hybrid - Office and Community-based throughout Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties. Office is located in Davie, Florida.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor'd degree in relevant field required
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Human Services, or related field preferred

Experience:
  • 2+ years of supervisory-level experience. required
  • Must be certified in the state of FL as a Child Welfare Case Manager (CWCM) or Child Welfare Licensing Counselor (CWLC) required

Other Requirements:
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
