Maintaining its roots as one of few remaining US frame manufacturers, Rochester Optical has grown exponentially since, and in multiple directions: adding a full service optical lab, wholesale operations, retail stores, expanding military contracts, and investing in Research and Development, the company has evolved into the Rochester Optical you know today - a one-of-a-kind, privately-owned optical company, focused on community, development, and innovation.
Job Description
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for various inventory control operations, including cycle counts, monitoring inventory levels, researching discrepancies, and analyzing data to project future orders and necessary inventory levels. Full time hours; must be able to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
  • Control the warehouse inventory
  • Coordinate with shipping, receiving and quality control in verifying and maintaining records incoming and outgoing product
  • Analyze and project future orders
  • Create/improve procedures for managing and reconciling periodic and physical inventory counts
  • Coordinate cycle counts
  • Review and monitor inventory levels
  • Identify areas of obsolete inventory
  • Update and maintain the warehouse inventory spreadsheet
  • Research inventory level discrepancies
  • Identify and correct root cause of discrepancies
  • Perform additional duties as directed

  • Ability to use advanced math concepts as required; strong math skills are a MUST
