Warehouse Manager


Location: Greenville, Michigan

Reports to: Director of Operations


Composition Brands, renowned leaders in premium refrigeration products including Marvel, U-Line, and Viking Refrigeration, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations in Greenville, Michigan. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing all shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, and material handling activities to ensure the efficient flow of materials that support our manufacturing operations and customer commitments.


As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. You will lead the warehouse team while collaborating closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Logistics to ensure accurate inventory, timely shipments, and efficient material movement throughout the facility. Through your leadership, organizational expertise, and commitment to continuous improvement, you will help optimize warehouse operations, strengthen inventory accuracy, and support the continued success of Composition Brands' industry-leading refrigeration product portfolio.

Expected Hours of Work:

This position is full-time. The general scheduled workdays are Monday through Friday.


Position Overview:

The Warehouse Manager position will play a crucial role, focusing on inventory accuracy and material management in the production facility. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Accuracy: Develops and implements appropriate processes to ensure inventory accuracy at the location level in the warehouse.
  • Inventory Management: Reviews inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and minimize obsolescence.
  • Cycle Counting: Lead the cycle count process and cycle counters to ensure compliance with the program, while improving inventory accuracy.
  • Warehouse: Ensures the warehouse is kept clean and organized. Locations and inventory are clearly labelled to ensure accuracy.
  • Production Support: Lead the material handling team to ensure the timely delivery of materials needed in production. Ensure lines are properly stocked and excess inventory is returned to the warehouse in a timely manner.
  • Product Line Transitions: Actively manage materials during product line transitions, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to inventory and production schedules.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and obsolescence, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including production, sales, and logistics, to align material management with overall business objectives.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collect all data related to a problematic situation and identify the root cause of issues.
  • Ability to develop and deploy countermeasures to eliminate the root cause of problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to effectively verbalize and/or document areas of deficiency regarding inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel.
  • Working knowledge of MRP system and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Capable of using a range of software to derive reports, graphs and analysis in the appropriate format.
  • Ability to work shifts and hours mandated by management and to pass a drug screen.
