Job Description Director of Warehouse Operations Location: Grand Rapids, MI Shift/Hours: M-F | Typically 6 am-3 pm Position Overview The Director of Warehouse Operations provides strategic leadership for a multi-site distribution network, driving operational excellence through warehouse modernization, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement. This leader will develop high-performing warehouse teams while leading the launch of a new 3PL operation and optimizing distribution strategy to support the company's continued growth. Key Responsibilities Lead multi-site warehouse and distribution operations while developing and mentoring Warehouse Managers and salaried leaders.

Drive warehouse modernization through Lean initiatives, WMS optimization, process improvements, and technology implementation. Oversee the launch and integration of a new 3PL distribution operation while optimizing inventory flow across the distribution network. Improve receiving, shipping, warehouse flow, safety, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Establish and manage warehouse KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational performance. Partner cross-functionally to develop long-term distribution strategies that support business growth. Lead organizational change by building team buy-in, fostering collaboration, and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications 5+ years leading multi-site warehouse/distribution operations. Proven leadership of salaried leaders and high-performing teams. Strong experience with receiving, shipping, warehouse flow, safety, and high-volume SKU management.

Experience with 3PL operations, warehouse launches, and distribution network optimization. Proven success in implementing Lean, TPS, Kaizen, WMS optimization, and warehouse modernization. Metrics-driven leader with experience improving warehouse KPIs and operational performance.

Demonstrated ability to lead change, gain team buy-in, and make independent operational decisions. Experience launching new distribution centers or 3PL operations. Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
