Job description

Job title: Manager, Regulatory Training

Department: Training & Technology Services

Reports to: Director, Training & Technology Services

Location of job: Headquarters

Work schedule: Full time, 40 hours/5 days per week

FLSA status: Exempt

 

Position summary:

The Manager of Regulatory Training is responsible for the development and management of high-quality, video-based and digital training content for AAAEโ€™s learning platforms. This role applies working knowledge of airport operations and aviation regulations to translate regulatory and operational requirements into accurate, engaging instructional content, in collaboration with subject matter experts, production staff, and customers.


Serving as a content lead and project manager, this position oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned training projects from concept and script development through production, delivery, and post-implementation updates ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with AAAE standards.


Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of airport-focused training content across AAAE digital learning platforms
  • Monitor FAA and TSA regulatory updates and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content reflects current requirements
  • Serve as content lead and project manager for customized CBT programs, coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables
  • Partner with customers and SMEs to ensure technical accuracy and instructional clarity
  • Oversee content development through production, deployment, and post-installation support
  • Edit, maintain, and update both standardized and customized training scripts and templates
  • Coordinate with production and IT teams to support course delivery and system implementation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of training templates, workflows, and production standards
  • Provide functional guidance to production staff or contractors assigned to projects, as needed
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required to support AAAEโ€™s learning platforms


Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience 
  • Working knowledge of airport operations and FAA/TSA regulatory environments
  • Experience managing digital content, video production, or computer-based training projects
  • Strong project management, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines
