The Training Project Manager works collaboratively with internal Company operating groups to verify that training is assigned, completed according to the Leadership Framework and helps to facilitate learning, The Training Project Manager will work closely with the Instructional Designer, corporate training & development group and Director of Performance Systems to ensure training is being developed in an engaging format.


Responsibilities
  • Manages employee training and development and coordinates maintenance of trainings including, but not limited to, refresher, job specific (technical) training, supervisor, management, leadership, soft skills and compliance.
  • Assist with assessing organizational developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance, and improve performance.
  • Ensures the auditing, reporting, maintenance and tracking of all training records in the learning management system (LMS)
  • Presents training and development programs using various modalities and formats including in person, group forum discussion, simulations, and videos.
  • Assist with online mentoring program to assure mentors and mentees are fully engaged
  • Creates and develops effective and professional training presentations and materials.
  • Assists in developing on-going and future trainings with the team
  • Conducts “Train the Trainer” instruction in order to facilitate training
  • Helps develop and gather detailed assessment information from the trainings, and help incorporate into future trainings. 
  • Provides follow up with individual employees to ensure comprehension of basic initial training, ongoing specialized training and initiatives.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Continuous improvement data collection and recommendations
  • Performs other job-related projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Human Resources or a related field and five (5) years of job-related experience in training. (A combination of education and experience may be substituted based on management's discretion.)

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of learning management systems, training plan, curriculum, and job aid design and development
  • Knowledge of implementation and facilitation of technical, operational, and/or specialty training events and program
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to assess training needs and objectives
  • Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate responsive programs and initiatives including training plans, curricula, and methodology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Thorough understanding of training strategy, principles and functions.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and techniques, employee development trends, technology-based training methods and best practices for encouraging employee participation in the development process.
  • Ability to present training in a credible and effective manner.
  • Ability to facilitate focus group discussions, conduct classroom learning sessions, seminars and workshops in person or online
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • Must be able to travel up to 75%
