Job description

Space Systems Integration (SSI) is a fast-growing engineering company that provides aerospace solutions to a variety of government and commercial customers.  Our employees are forward-thinking, self-directed individuals who are committed to solving our customers’ technical challenges.

SSI is seeking a Junior Special Technical Operations (STO) Analyst for a role in Aurora, CO or Springfield, VA.

Join a mission-focused team supporting critical national security and space operations missions. As a Mid-Level Special Technical Operations (STO) Analyst, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of compartmented operations while assisting with the integration of emerging capabilities across the customer enterprise.

In this role, you will contribute to operational reporting, mission planning, and cross-organizational coordination efforts that support space and multi-domain operations. You will work closely with operational teams, mission partners, and acquisition organizations to ensure mission requirements are understood and effectively communicated.

The ideal candidate possesses experience supporting space operations, Intelligence Community missions, or Special Technical Operations activities and demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

Role and Responsibilities includes:
  • Support STO operational planning, coordination, and reporting activities.
  • Assist with the management and tracking of Alternate Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM).
  • Prepare operational briefings, reports, and decision-support products.
  • Coordinate with mission partners to support planning activities across operations centers.
  • Provide feedback on operational procedures, capabilities, and system performance.
  • Support system integration, automation initiatives, exercises, and operational assessments.
  • Identify and document operational risks, intelligence gaps, and mission impacts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the customer enterprise to support mission objectives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of four years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or two years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • Experience supporting operational planning, mission coordination, or intelligence activities.
  • Experience working within the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or national security environment.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Polygraph.
  • Work full-time onsite at a government facility in Aurora, CO or Springfield, VA.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting space operations or multi-domain missions.
  • Familiarity with ACCM programs and handling classified information.
  • Experience developing operational procedures, checklists, or reports.
  • Knowledge of space domain awareness, space threats, or space surveillance operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Target salary range: $110,000 - $135,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. We offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
