Job Description:

  • Turning Point Montessori Preschool is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director/Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in fostering an enriching learning environment and ensuring the smooth operation of our preschool. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for Montessori principles.

Pay: $20 to $25 an hour plus Incentives

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour Shift, 40 hours a week

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the owner/development team to implement the unique curriculum.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the facility, including support and care for teachers, children, and families.

  • Manage all day-to-day aspects of the preschool.

  • Participate collaboratively and professionally with staff to promote the general well-being of the school, and the collective/individual interests of its staff and children.

  • Negotiate conflict resolution with children, parents, and staff.

  • Facilitate the enrollment process, including tours.

  • Perform administrative duties, including maintenance of student contracts and files.

  • Develop and implement programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.

  • Supervise staff members and provide guidance and support as needed.

  • Maintain compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.

  • Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or issues.

Requirements:

  • Must meet all current California State requirements for a Preschool Director.

  • Experience in a licensed childcare center.

  • Previous experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education.

  • Knowledge of first aid procedures and child safety protocols.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Prior experience in developing policy and curriculum is highly preferred.
