Job description

Position OverviewManager, Consumer & Brand Insights is responsible for leading the measurement, analysis, and interpretation of brand perception and brand health metrics to inform strategic decision-making and will also support market research efforts to support the marketing team in developing advertising content to meet consumer perception objectives. This role owns ongoing brand tracking programs and leverages both syndicated data sources and custom research to deliver clear, actionable insights that strengthen brand equity and guide marketing, communications, and customer strategy. Serving as a subject matter expert in brand measurement, this role partners closely with internal and external teams to translate complex data into compelling narratives and recommendations that drive brand growth and customer connection. This role is critical in ensuring the organization has a clear, consistent, and actionable understanding of brand performance.A Day in the Life

Brand Health Measurement & Tracking

  • Own the design, execution, and evolution of ongoing brand health tracking programs, including awareness and consideration metrics
  • Ensure consistency, methodological rigor, and trend integrity across longitudinal trackers while evolving metrics to meet changing business needs
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define KPIs, test and learn plans and success metrics tied to brand and business objectives
  • Leverage syndicated data sources (e.g., YouGov) to contextualize brand performance within competitive landscape
  • Integrate syndicated brand, attitudinal, and behavioral data with custom research and internal performance metrics
  • Serve as the internal expert on syndicated data capabilities, limitations, and best practices

Custom Research & Insight Development

  • Lead custom quantitative and qualitative research initiatives (e.g., brand deep dives, barriers, advertising effectiveness) to diagnose drivers of brand health movement
  • Translate data into clear insights, implications, and strategic recommendations-not just reporting results
  • Identify early signals and emerging trends impacting brand perception and customer sentiment

Storytelling, Reporting & Stakeholder Influence

  • Develop clear, compelling, and executive-ready storytelling that connects brand metrics to customer behavior and business outcomes
  • Present insights to senior leaders and cross-functional partners, influencing brand, marketing, and loyalty strategy
  • Create standardized dashboards, reports, and readouts to support ongoing decision-making and performance tracking

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Media, Creative and Strategy teams to ensure insights are embedded into planning and optimization processes
  • Manage external research vendors and agencies, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with learning objectives

Scope and Impact:

  • Directly support the customer insights director in projects that will be presented to executive leadership
  • Manage external vendors and partner with internal partners at the manager. Director and VP level across several departments
You'll Come With

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Market Research or Analytic field preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in market research/consumer insights , preferably with experience in the Retail industry or at a market research firm
  • Experience in leading & executing both quantitative and qualitative market research projects
  • Experience in running complex analysis on survey data including statistical measurement
  • Experience in working collaboratively with internal teams and 3rd party vendors/clients

Skills and Abilities: Solid strategic, analytic and problem solving skills and strong business acumen

  • Ability to independently drive forward projects/research
  • Excellent communicator
  • Passionate about not just sharing data but telling a store through meaningful insights
  • Strong understanding of when and how to leverage primary and secondary research as well as retail analytics to address business opportunities
  • Strong at building partnerships through collaboration
  • Experience operating under tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Familiarity with Qualtrics or similar survey tools is a plus
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarity with relational databases
  • Knowledge of generative AI

Compensation Range: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00
