As a member of the strategic planning team, you'll be responsible for evaluating the market and helping identify the best path forward for Johnsonville's continued growth. From new products, to channels, geographies and more, this team is responsible for evaluating global growth potential organization-wide.

Position Overview

The Director of Revenue Growth Management (RGM) will build and lead Johnsonville's U.S. RGM team to enable sustained, profitable growth by systematically activating revenue levers across packprice architecture, trade investment optimization, mix management, and strategic pricing, grounded in deep consumer and customer insight. The team balances consumer value, customer needs, and company profit goals while acting as the hub that connects sales, marketing, finance, and category management to financial outcomes. This role is a unique opportunity to establish RGM capabilities from the ground up and deliver go-to-market strategies that will shape the brands of the #1 sausage company in the country.

Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop pricing guidelines across customers, channels, and pack sizes
  • Build and maintain price ladders (good-better-best)
  • Track price gaps vs competition and consumer willingness-to-pay
  • Partner with finance to protect margins

Promotions & Trade Investment:

  • Design and manage promotion calendars, frequency, and mechanics
  • Optimize trade spend ROI, driving profitability and incremental sales
  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness (lift, cannibalization, pre/post-event)
  • Lead portfolio/customer segmentation and develop trade program architecture
  • Partner with sales to allocate trade funds across customers and channels

Pack & Product Mix (Assortment):

  • Manage price-pack architecture (PPA) across occasions and channels
  • Ensure balanced product mix across premium, mainstream, and value tiers
  • Identify new pack size, format, and value tier opportunities

Channel & Customer Strategy:

  • Tailor pricing and pack strategies by channel (grocery, mass, club, convenience, e-comm)
  • Build customer-specific RGM playbooks to support negotiations and joint planning
  • Partner with category management and sales to align customer programs

Analytics & Insights:

  • Lead syndicated data analysis and advanced modeling to guide pricing and promotions
  • Own RGM dashboards and reporting (pricing, elasticity, margin, trade investment)
  • Track competitor activity and market trends
  • Partner with IT to develop digital, AI, and automation tools to advance RGM

Governance & Alignment:

  • Act as the central link across sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance
  • Ensure consistency of RGM principles across brands and geographies
  • Share best practices, tools, and training with cross-functional teams
  • Coach and educate teams on trade investment strategies and execution
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, required
  • MBA/CPA preferred
Experience
  • 10+ years of business experience, including 5+ years in Revenue Management or pricing/promotion within CPG; required
  • Strong financial acumen and proven success in pricing and trade investment, required
  • Customer-facing commercial experience strongly preferred
Skills
  • Leadership: Ability to build new capabilities, lead change, and influence across levels, while also driving continuous improvement
  • Strategic Thinking: Connect pricing, consumer behavior, and business strategy
  • Analytics: Expertise in syndicated data, elasticity models, financial analysis, and Excel, and experience with PowerBI and AI and automation tools
  • Communication: Strong ability to influence senior leaders and present complex data clearly
  • Cross-Functional Knowledge: Broad understanding of sales, P&L, trade marketing, category management, supply chain, and brand strategy
Other Requirements
  • Travel: 10-15% of your time
