Dietary Aide Opportunity

Northern Nevada Medical Center is a 124-bed acute care hospital located on 23 hillside acres at 2375 E. Prater Way in Sparks, Nevada. This Dietary Aide opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient schedule. This position is for our Northern Nevada Medical Hospital in Reno. Under the direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead, the Diet Aide performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares all food items and patient meal trays accurately based on diet order, approved recipes and patient meal tickets
  • Uses proper techniques to ensure food safety. Techniques include, but not limited to: hand hygiene, glove use, temperature monitoring/control, cleaning and sanitizing
  • Follows procedures for stocking trayline, prep areas and nourishment rooms
  • Utilizes proper delivery and pickup procedures including patient identification, isolation techniques, and dishroom procedures
