General Summary:

The Senior Director, Strategic Account Lead - US Pain will lead the national Strategic Accounts field team for the US Pain Business Unit. We are seeking a candidate that has a strong track record of developing & successfully executing Health System, GPO, and Federal field strategies at the national level, motivating high performing field teams, and engaging systems level executive leadership to drive access. This role leads three regional Directors of Strategic Accounts as first line leaders who each currently manage teams of Strategic Account Leads. This field team serves as account managers focused on the most influential accounts nationwide to drive integrated delivery networks. The Senior Director reports to the Vice President, Field Sales & Strategic Customer Engagement, U.S. Commercial, Pain.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Directors of Strategic Accounts and their respective Strategic Account Leads, defining the strategy for the nation, retaining top talent, and coaching the team to exceptional performance
  • Establishes and updates goals for the Health System team grounded in on our access and demand aspirations; tracks actual performance against expectations and modifies strategies in response
  • Executes and refines account management model by developing account planning process & framework and identifying opportunities for best in class, enterprise level engagement to ensure access and drive top-down demand
  • Explores innovative partnerships to ensure preferred access to an innovative non-opioid (e.g. population health initiatives, contracting, etc.)
  • Engages with Health Systems leadership, coverage decision makers, and population health stakeholders to drive systemic change and pull-through of demand
  • Ensures the team adopts digital and innovative approaches to customer engagement
  • Collaborates with the Business Unit Leadership Team and BU Health Systems marketing to shape and refine brand strategy, including IDN engagement approach
  • Partners exceptionally well with internal stakeholders including market access, sales, marketing team, compliance, field operations, HR, and others to shape cross functional efforts as an influential leader
  • Role models and instills a culture of compliance focused on ethics and integrity in all we do

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals in marketing, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience developing and refining Health System engagement strategies, marketing, & leading Health System account field teams
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
  • Drives results through the team inspiring through clear vision and role model leadership
  • Expertise in IDN stakeholders, with knowledge of how to influence both access and demand levers

Other Requirements:

  • Must live and work within the territory. Depending on the territory's geography and work requirements may also be required to live within a reasonable distance to a major airport
  • Valid driver's license and in good standing
  • Travel by car or airplane up to 80% of the time and work after hours as required by business needs

Pay Range:

$232,000 - $348,000

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
