CPG Account Director

We are seeking a driven and consultative Account Director to lead sales growth with large Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies. This role is responsible for building relationships with senior decision-makers, developing insight-driven proposals, and selling innovative digital, in-store, and omni-channel marketing solutions that deliver measurable results. The Account Director will play a key role in new business development, account expansion, and maintaining strong client partnerships across the CPG landscape.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, needs analysis, solution development, proposal delivery, and closing.

  • Build and maintain relationships with senior-level CPG decision-makers to understand business objectives and design strategies that drive measurable ROI.

  • Develop client-centric campaigns leveraging digital, shopper, and in-store marketing capabilities.

  • Engage internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, Digital Strategy, Consumer Insights, Operations, Finance, and Leadership) to uncover opportunities and elevate proposals.

  • Create compelling presentations and proposals that leverage data, insights, and financial models to influence client decision-making.

  • Maintain a disciplined cadence of pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to ensure consistent growth against sales targets.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned revenue and profitability goals.


Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience selling into Consumer Packaged Goods companies or working within CPG with a focus on B2B sales to retailers or partners.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a consultative selling environment.

  • Strong experience with digital media, shopper marketing, or omni-channel solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior decision-makers.

  • Highly analytical, with experience leveraging syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, etc.) to develop tailored client solutions.

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive selling stories.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and CRM systems such as Salesforce.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
