Our client, a leading company specializing in AI and next-generation computing solutions, is seeking a Senior Director of Solutions Engineering to lead a team of senior Customer Solutions Architects and Engineers. This role involves working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to support cutting-edge applications and platforms, integrating advanced technology into various industry segments.

This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, Canada (option for Austin, TX and Santa Clara, CA) offering a unique opportunity for a technical leader with deep experience in high-performance computing (HPC) and AI systems design. You will play a critical role in shaping the development and deployment of enterprise solutions, leading a team of technical experts to deliver innovative solutions that meet complex customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with industry and account teams to understand customer goals, strategies, and technical requirements, delivering high-value solutions tailored to these needs.
  2. Mentor and guide the Solutions Architecture team, ensuring they develop the technical skills to work with OEMs, ODMs, CSPs, and Data Center personnel.
  3. Document technical knowledge by developing resources such as targeted samples, whitepapers, blogs, and articles, while also working hands-on with customers to solve complex problems.
  4. Recruit, train, and retain top talent to build a world-class team of experts.
  5. Act as an industry leader, driving the integration of AI, HPC, and enterprise systems technologies into complex networking architectures for datacenter and edge computing.
  6. Collaborate across the product development lifecycle on projects that involve compute modules, baseboards, and thermal-mechanical design elements for AI/ML servers and data center clusters.

Experience & Qualifications:

  1. BS/MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  2. 12+ years of experience in compute-intensive development programs, with knowledge of CPU/GPU architecture and functionality.
  3. 5+ years of experience in management and leadership roles.
  4. Experience with HPC/AI system design and development, ideally working with OEMs/ODMs and Data Center end users.
  5. Proven track record in delivering complex computing and networking solutions for the HPC/AI market.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both management and technical teams.
  7. Experience in customer support and managing technical teams to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements.
  8. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and initiatives across complex projects.
