JOB SUMMARY

The Business Systems Project Specialist II is responsible for completing multiple simultaneous projects and project-related tasks on time as assigned by the Business Systems Project Manager(s) within an Agile development process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Independently manage and execute multiple, simultaneous projects and project-related tasks as directed by Business Systems Project Managers, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery within an Agile development framework. Exercise discretion and apply strategic judgment to prioritize tasks and coordinate efforts, balancing technical requirements with business objectives.
  • Continuously design, customize, and modify Salesforce and related Business Systems (ERP, CPQ, backup solutions, call center software, calendar tools) to support the organization s evolving operational needs. Leverage technical expertise to make independent decisions on configurations, ensuring solutions align with both immediate and long-term business goals.
  • Create and maintain essential Salesforce configurations, including custom objects, fields, views, reports, dashboards, and campaigns, driving enhanced data management and reporting across the organization.
  • Develop and sustain complex workflows, flows, process builders, approval processes, reports, and dashboards that directly improve system functionality and streamline critical business processes.
  • Implement new features and system enhancements in collaboration with the Business Systems Product Team, applying technical acumen to deploy changes that meet specific business needs.
  • Efficiently roll out new features to systems with guidance from the Business Systems Product Team and manage the rollout process independently, ensuring systems are updated effectively to maximize operational benefits.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, provide demonstrations of system enhancements, and address questions regarding system functionality and improvements. Act as a technical liaison, using expertise to bridge the gap between business requirements and system capabilities, ensuring alignment and driving strategic value across projects.
  • Support and collaborate with the Business Systems Support Team as needed for system troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Track and manage project progression through Jira from initiation to completion, maintaining clear documentation and communication.
  • Assist Project Managers in scoping projects and identifying opportunities to leverage new products and features that drive business improvements.
  • Expected to travel up to 5% per year.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual in person attendance consistent with the ADAAA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

A successful Business Systems Project Specialist II will successfully deliver project tasks from the Business Systems Product roadmap on schedule, meeting all the requirements, and with a high degree of stakeholder satisfaction with minimal escalation. As their understanding of our business processes and our systems grow, their work will help to define and drive business integration and transformation across the company as we continue to grow and open additional locations. They will stay current with the system updates and new features, and act as a subject matter expert. Their ability to independently deliver great solutions to the business will lead to career progression within the team as a Level III Project Specialist, Project Manager, or other specialized role.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND MENTAL OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The standard workweek for this position is Monday Friday.
  • Must be able to sit and use office equipment (computer, mouse, phone, etc.) for extended periods of time.
  • May require working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions with standard level of noise common to an office environment including office equipment and co-workers speaking to each other and on phones.
  • Ability to maintain driver s license and be insured under company policy.
  • Regularly required to: think analytically and be exact or highly accurate; make decisions such as to identify complex problems, develop options and implement solutions; work in a team; pay attention to and remember details; communicate effectively including active listening to understand points being made, and asking appropriate questions; speak to convey information effectively; write to communicate effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience; and read to understand work related documents.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: sit for prolonged periods; repetitive motion of hands/wrists/fingers; and concentrate.

MINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S. in an IT related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce administration experience.
  • 2+ years of experience building and delivering business systems solutions to stakeholders.
  • 2+ years of experience in a business environment, with an understanding of different business units and what they need.
  • Knowledge of the standard capabilities of Salesforce and have successfully expanded on those capabilities with custom automation, integrations, and packages.
  • Proven Experience designing Salesforce custom objects, custom fields, picklists, page layouts, workflows, flows, process builders, approval processes, validation rules, custom tabs, reports, dashboards, and email templates according to application requirements.
  • Salesforce.com Administrator certification required. Salesforce Advanced Admin or App builder certification is strongly preferred or required within 12 months.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a product/project team.
  • Must have a valid smart phone or smart device to log in to company required systems using two-factor authentication.
