Position Overview
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking an experienced Salesforce Administrator to serve as the agencys senior Salesforce Platform Administrator. This role will be responsible for platform administration, configuration, support, governance, user enablement, and continuous improvement of the Salesforce ecosystem. The selected candidate will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable Salesforce solutions while establishing internal Salesforce expertise and reducing reliance on external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Salesforce user accounts, profiles, permission sets, role hierarchies, sharing rules, and security controls.
  • Configure Salesforce using declarative tools including Flows, validation rules, approval processes, record types, page layouts, and custom objects.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business units and recommend process improvements.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics for operational and executive reporting.
  • Manage data quality initiatives including imports, exports, cleansing, deduplication, and migrations.
  • Coordinate Salesforce releases, testing, deployments, and change management activities.
  • Troubleshoot platform, security, configuration, and integration issues.
  • Support integrations between Salesforce and internal/external systems using APIs and integration tools.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, procedures, and knowledge base materials.
