Job description

Salesforce Lead

Pay Rate: $Open on W2 Role: Salesforce Lead

Company: University- (Direct Client) Position: Contract Duration: 6+ months- Long term Work: Remote Interview: Video Client Location: PA

This is a critical lead role within the Enterprise Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) program team who is implementing Salesforce solutions to meet the business needs and strategic goals of our institution.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce products and the data model, architecture and security
  • Experience developing Salesforce integrations using Informatica Cloud
  • Strong Salesforce development skills using Apex, SOQL, LWC
  • Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with third party systems using REST/SOAP APIs
  • Experience working and developing in an Agile environment
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively in an environment of change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 10+ years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Salesforce Developer certification preferred but not required
  • Higher education experience preferred
Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, install, implement, maintain, and support the Salesforce platform and associated integrations and/or applications

• Customize Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Education Cloud, and other platform features to meet the business needs

• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues promptly

• Ensure data quality and integrity across all integration processes

• Document and maintain code, processes, test plans, detailed workflow charts, and diagrams that describe input, output and logical operation

• Convey complex technical concepts, issues, and considerations to people with differing levels of technical knowledge

• Manage releases, updates, and new features in the Salesforce platform

• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data integration and Salesforce development

• Analyze business requirements and use cases; work with stakeholders to clarify their requirements; and translate into solutions

• Ensure compliance with Penn State standards, requirements, and policies including usability, accessibility, and security

• Provide maintenance, support and consultation for third party software solutions

• Monitor work and projects ensuring timeliness, quality, and efficiency; and provide regular progress updates

• Serve as technical lead for Salesforce development efforts

• Anticipate client and project needs and present development option(s)

• Assists other staff in projects and provides training and support as needed
