Job description

Position Summary
Leads the recruitment of qualified physicians and advanced practice providers (APP) to join the Granville Health, Inc. (GHI) medical staff. Assists in the development of strategic and comprehensive medical staff recruitment plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the health system.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Leads search initiation, sourcing campaigns, candidate tracking and coordinating candidate interviews.
  • Advertises job opportunities and makes recommendations on how to market jobs that align with best practice recruitment methods.
  • Sources candidates through recruitment firms, databases, job boards, advertising, direct mail, social media, career fairs, etc.
  • Performs initial interview and screening processes to assess candidates' suitability; coordinates follow up interview(s) with appropriate leaders and medical staff.
  • Collaborates with Executive Team and Physician Practices to develop job opportunity profiles; collaborates with marketing to design and develop physician recruitment resources.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with Physician/APP candidates.
  • Meets periodically with recruited providers to assess integration into the health system and community.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement firms, residency and fellowship programs and other sources of applicants.
  • Coordinates and manages all site visits to ensure positive candidate experience; coordinates site visit arrangements to include interview itinerary, travel, lodging, community tours, meals, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with Human Resources and Medical Staff Services to initiate credentialing and onboarding processes; assists in the orientation of new providers.
  • Develops a working knowledge of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations.
  • Partners and collaborates with the Human Resources team to assist in recruitment for clinical and non-clinical positions; provides support with job fairs, school/campus visits, hiring events, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with the accrediting and regulatory agencies (i.e., The Joint Commission).
  • Maintains effective working relationships with GHS leaders, staff, and medical staff.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of physician employment agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation/benefits and credentialing requirements.
  • Available after-hours and weekends as needed to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Assists in planning and coordinating events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Two (2) years' experience as a recruiter with full cycle recruitment in healthcare.
  • Previous experience in physician/APP recruitment preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates initiative and possesses strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.
  • Highly effective verbal, written and computer skills essential.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Sound knowledge of sourcing techniques.
  • Solid understanding of current federal/state laws and regulations related to recruitment and employment.
  • Must have valid driver's license and means of transportation for community tours with provider candidates.
