Position Overview:

The VP Operational Excellence is responsible for driving enterprise-wide performance improvement and organizational excellence through process optimization, advanced analytics and data driven decision making. This role leads the design and delivery of the operational excellence improvement portfolio that improves cost efficiency and the member experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Weighted 30% - In support of the organization's strategic goals, define and lead the enterprise operational excellence strategy, multi-year roadmap, financial & service goals, and a team of LSS Belts and Process analysts to deliver financial and service outcomes. Lead continuous improvement of the operational excellence capability including methodologies, tools, and resources
  • Weighted 25% - Own the enterprise improvement portfolio ensuring the delivery of measurable outcomes. Lead prioritization, funding, tracking, and governance routines to deliver operational excellence. Prepare and deliver executive level reporting and dashboards to communicate capability and portfolio progress. Leverage data and analytics to perform opportunity identification and inform prioritization
  • Weighted 20% - Lead or support the design and optimize the enterprise target operating model, end to end business processes, KPIs, and roles to support of the delivery of strategic objectives, improve financial performance, and optimize the member experience
  • Weighted 15% - Lead or support enterprise change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of operational excellence initiatives, including stakeholder alignment, communication strategies, training, and reinforcement mechanisms
  • Weighted 10% - Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, facilitating alignment on priorities, driving adoption of new ways of working, and ensuring accountability for results through clear communication, governance, and visible performance outcome

Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Min 7 years direct experience+ 2 years in supervisory leadership role
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma black belt
  • Strong background in Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma or structured problems solving methodologies
  • Experience with formal change management methodology (i.e. Prosci, Kotter, CAP, etc..)
  • Proven track record driving improvement initiatives and influencing senior leadership to measurable outcomes
  • Experience influencing and partnering with executive leadership to shape strategy, align priorities, and drive accountability
  • Proven ability to design and scale operational excellence capabilities
  • Ability to translate data into insights and portfolio development

Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Analytics, or related field
  • 8 years of experience + 3 years in supervisory leadership role
  • Change Management certification
  • Background in strategy and/or consulting
  • Experience with Power BI and creating executive dashboards
  • Experience with Clarity and JIRA for project and portfolio management
  • Experience with AI and Machine Learning

Job Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Travel up to 10% of the time
  • Fully Remote
