Position Description

The Director of Technology is responsible for translating ABA’s business strategy into a durable technology strategy—ensuring that platforms, architecture, security, data, and delivery capabilities evolve in ways that support long-term organizational growth, adaptability, operational resilience, and mission impact. The role owns end-to-end accountability for software development, software architecture, infrastructure and operations, security, database administration, and DevOps. They lead with vision, hold teams to results, and foster a culture where accountability and continuous improvement are the norm.

The Director serves as the senior technology execution leader for the organization and is accountable for the successful delivery of technology initiatives, operational excellence across technology functions, and the development of a high-performing technical workforce. Working closely with the Chief Information & Technology Officer, the Director translates strategic priorities into actionable technology roadmaps while fostering innovation, collaboration, security, and continuous improvement.

The Director provides leadership to application development, quality assurance, infrastructure and network engineering, systems architecture, database administration, project management, and technology operations teams.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or related field required.
