Pay:ย $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Job description:

The Director of Nursing is responsible for administering, monitoring and managing all aspects of the Vocational Nursing program in compliance with regulations of the BVNPT and policies of Select Education Group. In addition, the Director of Nursing shall perform all duties and responsibilities of an instructor as listed on the Instructor job description, and perform other duties as assigned.

This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive treatment of the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Nursing. Working in conjunction with the Vice President of Compliance and the Director of Education, the Director of Nursing is expected to:

ยท Conduct classroom observations, instructor outcome assessments and follow-up recommendations for instructor improvement.

ยท Maintain Curriculum Development and delivery at the campus level. Maintain Curriculum Integrity on Network Server.

ยท Reviewing of all NCLEX prep. tests taken throughout the program

ยท Act as primary liaison with the Board related to the programโ€™s compliance with the required elements of the BVNPT

ยท Ensure the Vocational Nursing program, policies and procedures are in written format, are congruent with those of the institution and are reviewed periodically

ยท Support the Campus SSL to develop Retention Strategies for programs within their division. Contribute educational related outcomes to the Quarterly Campus Improvement Plan.

ยท Evaluate and monitor the appropriate integration of independent study into the curriculum for the division.

ยท Support the Mentor Instructor with new instructor training orientation.

ยท Complete purchase orders for consumable supplies, place orders, and forward purchase orders with receipts or other documentation to the accounting office.

ยท Submit proposals to the Executive Team for requested changes in program textbooks or other supplies and works with the executive office to coordinate ordering when new textbooks/supplies are approved within their division.

ยท Work with the Employment Services Department for JSS integration within their division.

ยท With direction from the Director of Education- coordinates divisional Advisory Board Meetings; including taking meeting minutes.

ยท Identify instructional material and equipment needs for their division based on division curriculum, instructor requests, and Advisory Board recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Completion of accredited school courses with instruction in administration, teaching and curriculum development with a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited school; and

Experience

A minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse; one year in teaching or clinical supervision or three yearsโ€™ in nursing administration or nursing education within the last five years. In addition, the Director of Nursing shall demonstrate experience and education as required by the State Regulatory Agency, BVNPT, where the school presides and in accordance with the guidelines established by the schools accrediting body for the coursework that the Director of Nursing is overseeing.

Other

The Director of Nursing shall have a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California. A valid Driver's License may be required
