Marietta Heights Post Acute is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department. The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing services, ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence within our skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all nursing operations within the facility.

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care.

  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Ohio Department of Health and CMS requirements.

  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff.

  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, department leaders, residents, and families to promote positive clinical outcomes.

  • Monitor clinical performance indicators and implement corrective action plans as needed.

  • Oversee staffing and scheduling for the nursing department.

  • Lead infection prevention, risk management, and resident safety programs.

  • Prepare for and successfully manage state surveys and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care setting preferred

  • Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, Ohio nursing home requirements, and the survey process.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality resident care.
