Job description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to lead core accounting and shared services operations for a Long-term Contract opportunity based in Golden, Colorado. This role will oversee critical financial activities, support accurate and timely reporting, and provide leadership across functions such as accounts payable and treasury. The ideal candidate brings strong operational accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to guide teams in a complex business environment.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead accounting and shared services activities to ensure reliable day-to-day financial operations and strong internal coordination.
โ€ข Direct the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial results are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
โ€ข Oversee the preparation of financial reports and deliver clear insights to support business and leadership decision-making.
โ€ข Provide leadership for accounts payable processes, improving controls, efficiency, and service quality across the function.
โ€ข Partner with treasury stakeholders to support both corporate and global treasury activities, including cash-related oversight and cross-functional alignment.
โ€ข Manage accounting priorities within SAP, helping maintain effective processes, reporting consistency, and system-based financial controls.
โ€ข Supervise accounting staff and shared services team members, setting expectations, coaching performance, and promoting accountability.
