Job Description:

The Missile Solution Segment of L3Harris is currently seeking an experienced Specialist, Program Manager. This role is located at our Huntsville, AL office or Orange, VA facility. This position assists in leading all phases of programs: planning, execution, strategy, and management. Drives program action to achieve business and financial objectives for orders, revenue, profit, and cash flow for an existing program. Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance for designated project areas working with a program lead or manager to achieve results. Acts as customer contact for program activities, leading review sessions with customers for assigned aspects of proposal development, negotiations, and execution. Assists in coordinating program support, production, and supply chain teams to ensure on time and on budget deliveries.

Essential Functions:

  • Under general supervision, will provide general program direction, control, and coordination.
  • Responsible for management and contract performance of a program or elements of a program.
  • Responsible for multi-functional programs.
  • Manages and at times directs assigned programs, which includes defining and understanding program scope, managing overall schedules and budget in accordance with applicable contractual and L3Harris policies.
  • Assures through the assigned program team that contract performance responsibility is properly delegated to performing organizations and outside suppliers.
  • Provides the primary L3Harris interface with the customer.
  • Develops and implements plans for follow-on production programs including proposal development, submittal, negotiation, and definitization.
  • Participates in the forecast of awards/margins and sales/profit for assigned programs as part of the Aerojet Rocketdyne business planning cycle.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to the project team in meeting established schedules or to resolve complex technical or operations problems.
  • Responsible for effectively utilizing functional organizations to integrate research and development, production, quality assurance, test, production support, procurement, contractual and financial data.
  • May occasionally act as an interface for communications with the customer and is accountable for the successful accomplishment of all contractual requirements.
  • Up to 25% business travel to other L3Harris and customer sites.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 4 years of prior relevant program management experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related program management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related program management experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
  • Knowledge of financial management and business development practices.
  • Experience with DoD contract execution.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $80,500 - $149,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
