Job description

Director of Business Development

Basin Solutions is growing and we are looking for the right person to grow with us.

This is not a traditional sales role and we are not built like a traditional recruitment company.

Our work sits at the intersection of workforce, operations and industry. We partner with companies across the energy, industrial, construction and clean technology sectors to help build teams, strengthen operations and support long term growth. The relationships we build are intentional and long lasting. We are not interested in high volume outreach, generic pitches or transactional partnerships.

We are looking for someone who understands how to create meaningful relationships and carry themselves with confidence in professional environments. Someone who is ambitious, sharp, highly motivated and takes pride in how they represent both themselves and the company they work for.

This role is for someone who naturally moves toward opportunity. Someone who is comfortable walking into a room full of industry leaders, introducing themselves, building trust and creating momentum. We value people who are polished and professional, but who also have grit, work ethic and the ability to thrive in fast moving environments.

The successful candidate will work directly alongside company leadership and support Basin’s continued expansion throughout Canada and the United States.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and managing long term client relationships across North America
• Supporting growth across recruitment, workforce planning, operations support and HSE services
• Identifying workforce and operational gaps within growing organizations
• Representing Basin at conferences, networking events, client meetings and industry functions
• Creating strategic opportunities through relationship driven business development
• Working closely with leadership on long term growth initiatives and market expansion
• Helping continue to build a respected, modern and relationship focused brand within the industry

What We’re Looking For

• Experience within recruitment, industrial services, workforce solutions, operations support or HSE related industries
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
• Professional presentation and strong personal accountability
• A self starter with a high level of ambition and initiative
• Someone who is organized, adaptable and thrives in relationship driven environments
• Comfortable operating within both Canadian and US markets
• Willingness to travel as required
• A strong work ethic and a genuine desire to grow professionally and personally

What We Offer

• Competitive base compensation
• Excellent commission and performance structure
• Benefits package
• Opportunity to work directly with leadership on strategic growth initiatives
• Exposure to high growth industries throughout North America
• A company culture focused on professionalism, momentum and long term relationships

At Basin Solutions, we are building a company that values relationships, reputation and quality of work above everything else. We believe strong businesses are built through trust, consistency and people who are willing to put in the work.

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of building something meaningful.
