Job Summary and Qualifications

​​Under the direction of the Director of Infection Prevention, the Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care by implementing system infection prevention strategies ,policies and practices at the market/site level. Works closely with the infection prevention team and collaborates with other departments and disciplines at the market/site level. Serves as subject matter expert for infection prevention and mentor for students at the discretion of the Director of infection prevention and support other campuses in the health system. 

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC), awarded by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) within 3 years
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Active RN license
