Dominion Hospital, the only freestanding mental health facility in Northern VA, is seeking an experienced Director of Infection Control & Employee Health to lead our infection prevention and employee health programs. In this key leadership role, you will oversee hospital-wide infection prevention initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, promote a culture of safety, and manage employee health services to protect both patients and staff.

What You'll Do
Lead and oversee the hospital's Infection Prevention and Employee Health programs.
Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct surveillance, analyze infection trends, and implement improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC, state, and local regulations.
Lead investigations of healthcare-associated infections and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate employee health services, including immunization programs, exposure follow-up, and return-to-work guidance.
Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and employee health practices.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, department managers, and quality teams to improve patient safety.
Prepare reports, maintain required documentation, and participate in regulatory surveys and accreditation activities.
Serve as a clinical resource for infection prevention and employee health throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in VA required.
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare field preferred.
Previous Infection Prevention experience in an acute care or hospital setting required.
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain.
Strong knowledge of CDC, OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and educating multidisciplinary teams.
