Job description

Description
Build something from the ground up!
AmeriServe Intenational is launching its first behavioral specialist program, and we're looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who wants to help build it from the foundation up. This isn't a role where you're stepping into an established system. You'll have real input into how our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program is structured, how our Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) team is trained, and how client care is delivered from day one.
AmeriServe provides HCBS waiver services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Iowa, including 24-hour residential, less-than-24-hour residential, Day Habilitation, and hourly supports. This role is a strong fit for BCBAs coming from ABA, psychology, or mental health backgrounds, who want a hands on clinical leadership position.
What You'll Do
  • Develop and oversee individualized behavior support plans grounded in ABA principals for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Conduct behavioral assessments to guide program development
  • Provide hands-on training and coaching to RBTs
  • Build out data collection and tracking systems to monitor client progress and program effectiveness
  • Respond to and help de-escalate crisis situations on an on-call basis
  • Help shape training processes, program structure, and best practices as one of the first clinical hires on this team

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Active BCBA certification in good standing
  • Experience working with adults in a clinical setting
  • HCBS or waiver services experience (preferred)
  • Comfort with a hands-on role. This is not a purely supervisory or administrative BCBA position
  • Familiarity with data tracking and graphing
  • Proficiency in Excel (required)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to train and support a direct care team
