DIRECTOR, PLAYFLY CREATES (MEDIA)

THE RUNDOWN
Playfly Sports is looking for a Director, Playfly Creates to join our team in New York.
The Director, Playfly Creates will serve as an idea creator in partnership with the Playfly Sports sales teams. The Director will manage a team who will develop and execute media integration elements, branded content and custom marketing activations for clients that drive revenue for Playfly Sports partners. This individual will manage the ideation process from pitch through fulfillment while being responsive to client and sales needs.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team focused on creating strategic media solutions that support revenue growth.
  • Partner directly with media sellers to develop customized, client-focused recommendations that align advertiser objectives with Playfly assets and capabilities.
  • Lead the strategic response process for RFPs and proactive sales opportunities, leveraging marketplace knowledge, category expertise, audience insights, and media trends.
  • Serve as a key sales partner throughout the sales cycle, providing consultative support that helps sellers position integrated media opportunities and close business.
  • Develop scalable sales materials, category narratives, and marketplace insights that enhance seller effectiveness and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across media, content, partnerships, client services, research, and activation teams to ensure solutions are feasible, impactful, and executable.
  • Help shape annual sales priorities, media positioning, and go-to-market strategies across Playfly properties and platforms.
  • Identify emerging opportunities in media, advertising, sponsorship, and audience engagement that can create new revenue streams for Playfly partners.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of advertiser needs, agency trends, competitive offerings, and industry developments to inform sales strategy.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to sales leadership and account teams on high-value opportunities and key client relationships.
  • Support successful execution and post-sale collaboration to ensure client objectives and revenue commitments are achieved.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 8-10 years' experience in Broadcast or Cable Network and/or integrated marketing
  • Prior experience working for or dealing with agencies
  • Must have experience working or interacting in all media platforms and emerging trends
  • Prior management or team lead experience
  • Must have excellent presentation skills, strong communication, written and organization skills
  • Ability to adapt and multitask while managing various timelines and deadlines
  • Ability to build positive relationships and partner with business leaders, peers and colleagues across all divisions of Playfly
  • Experience with pro-team, athletic department, cable network experience or branded entertainment preferred
  • Excellent project management skills on an executive level
  • Ability to learn and utilize research-based systems in order to create and deliver compelling presentations
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Custom Show experience is a plus

  • Some travel may be required based on division sales cycles and client needs

COMPENSATION
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The base pay range for this role is:
$145,000-$180,000 USD
