Role Overview

As a Marketing and Operations Manager, you will develop and execute the communication strategy and marketing campaigns to increase awareness of LAEFs impact and drive donor participation. This role manages all organizational communications and provides critical operational support to enable LAEF to achieve its goals.
  • Status: Full-time, exempt
  • Reports to: Executive Director
Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing and Communications
    • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy across all channels.
    • Oversee graphic design, branding, photography, and collateral production.
    • Manage messaging for specific giving programs, such as major donor, corporate matching, and business sponsorship campaigns.
  • Operations
    • Support the Executive Director and board committees with strategic goals, fundraising campaigns, and events.
    • Coordinate peer-to-peer outreach.
    • Maintain data integrity, assist with budgeting and financial reporting, and oversee technology, insurance, and facilities.
  • Community Relations
    • Manage relationships with board members across all nine schools.
    • Act as a point of contact for business sponsors.
    • Ensure transparent and timely communication between LAEF, the school district leadership, and the PTA leadership.
Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in marketing, communications, and operations, ideally within a non-profit or educational environment.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Adobe Suite; experience with donor CRMs (Salesforce preferred).
  • Skills: Exceptional written/verbal communication, digital marketing, storytelling through data, and strong project management skills.
  • Traits: Meticulous attention to detail, operational grit, ability to handle multiple workstreams, and a passion for public education.

  • Location: Los Altos, CA (with hybrid flexibility). Requires local travel and light lifting up to 20 lbs.
