Job description

Robert Half is seeking licensed attorneys to join an exciting project focused on evaluating and improving AI-generated legal content. This is a unique opportunity to apply your legal research, writing, and analytical skills while contributing to the development of cutting-edge legal technology.

Position Details

  • Position: Legal Editor
  • Location: Remote (U.S. Only)
  • Pay Rate: $30/hour
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Flexible, Monday through Friday
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 3-month contract (contract extension likely)

About the Role

This project will support the review and evaluation of Large Language Model (LLM) generated legal content. You will assess AI-generated research answers, legal summaries, memoranda, briefs, case law summaries, statutory analyses, and other legal content for accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing AI-generated legal research answers and draft legal content
  • Evaluating legal summaries of opinions, statutes, and other legal documents
  • Verifying the accuracy of legal analysis, statutory references, and case citations
  • Providing quality ratings and detailed written feedback
  • Documenting findings and recommendations using various software tools
  • Collaborating with project leads and managers to ensure quality standards are met


โ€ข Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree required.

โ€ข Active license to practice law, or prior qualification as a licensed attorney, strongly preferred.

โ€ข Demonstrated experience in legal research, statutory analysis, and review of legal materials.

โ€ข Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, precise, and well-organized content.

โ€ข Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality when editing, validating, and summarizing information.

โ€ข Proficiency with spreadsheets and digital tools used for document tracking, reporting, and content management.

โ€ข Familiarity with AI, legal technology, or structured markup/content formats is a plus.

โ€ข Courtroom exposure or practical legal experience is an advantage.Qualifications

Required

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Active attorney license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 1-5 years of legal practice experience
  • Strong legal research, legal writing, and legal analysis skills
  • Familiarity with U.S. legal documents, case law, statutes, and legal procedures
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet productivity expectations
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and technology platforms

Preferred

  • Courtroom experience
  • Experience reviewing legal memoranda, briefs, motions, opinions, or statutes
  • Experience providing analytical feedback or quality review work
