The Digital Technology Operations Digital & Industrial Solutions (ODIS) Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Solutions team and Collins Aerospace are seeking a Manufacturing Execution Systems Analyst to help drive the transformation of our factories into a fully automated digital system.  This transformation will drive shop floor manufacturing efficiency and improved end user experience.  The team supports 10000 Solumina worldwide users today.

The Operations Digital & Industrial Solutions team is growing at Collins Aerospace to support many major business projects.  These key initiatives include supporting implementations/upgrades/existing sites for our Manufacturing Execution Systems (Solumina), shop floor automation, middleware applications and SAP alignment.  The ideal candidate will have worked in a manufacturing environment and has a passion for learning new technology, can define and solve complex business problems using the latest industry technology.  With the proper training, the individual would possess the willingness and desire to become a MES application subject matter expert.

** This is a hybrid-based position in Puerto Rico, must reside in Puerto Rico. **

What YOU will do:

  • Work directly with various Digital Project teams to deploy and support Solumina MES at major manufacturing facilities around the world
  • Daily contact with end users to gather technical and functional requirements
  • Develop business process documentation to define standard shop floor standard
  • Lead and coordinate MES training/testing sessions with business unit customers
  • Provide second level Solumina production support to end users
  • Create system technical and functional documentation in support of Solumina gap
  • Perform cross functional coordination with Manufacturing, Quality, and Digital teams
  • Use Solumina Manufacturing Software Developer Kit (SDK) for developing, building and testing custom configurations
  • Willingness to work off hours in support of planned outages for system maintenance
  • Create/modify XML integration messages between MES and Middleware applications
  • Ability to support multiple project managers on various MES and ERP implementations

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree.
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Basic understanding of databases, SQL and integration platforms.
  • Understanding of SAP Production Master Data (BOM/Routing/Work Center/DIR).
  • Working knowledge of SQL, .NET, Git or other source control framework, MVVM or MVC frameworks, XAML, SAP (ECC and/or S4), Ignition.
  • Working knowledge of Integrated Development Environments such as MS Visual Studio and VS Code.
  • Familiarity with implementing best practices of software development on small to medium scale projects.
  • Experience or familiarity with C# or Java programming languages.
  • Working knowledge in one or more of these areas: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Razor pages.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in shop floor operations or MES implementations.
  • Passion for learning cutting edge Digital Technology applications and processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills with cultural awareness to work with international teams.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 3 Years Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Large scale Aerospace & Defense or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) with discrete and/or process manufacturing processes experience
  • Experience with the Solumina MES system, Solumina SDK Development
  • Ability to work in a virtual global team
  • Willingness to learn on the job as required. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and apply technical knowledge related to system infrastructure, ERP, and MES systems
