Job description

Overview

Lutron has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager in our Humacao, Puerto Rico manufacturing facility. In this position, you will lead the Lutron Puerto Rico HR Department and provide HR leadership, insight, and support to the entire organization.

This role is part of the facility’s Leadership Team and is a key contributor to achieving business results while strengthening and advancing the Lutron culture. You will also be an integral member of the global Lutron Human Resources team. 


Responsibilities
  • Anticipate organizational needs and drive people strategies and HR practices that strengthen Lutron’s position as an employer of choice.
  • Manage HR solutions, programs, and policies for the Puerto Rico organization while partnering with corporate HR on companywide initiatives.
  • Engage leaders and employees to deliver a differentiated and positive employee experience.
  • Benchmark compensation and manage compensation, benefits, and performance management programs with local leadership.
  • Attract and retain exceptional talent by defining and executing a recruiting strategy aligned with business needs.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities across thirdparty agencies, contract recruiters, and internal recruiting resources.
  • Support employee growth by ensuring development guides are communicated, understood, and used for performance and career development.
  • Identify training needs, partner with the learning organization to deliver programs, and verify that training objectives are achieved.
  • Design and oversee onboarding processes that create a strong and positive start for new employees.
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide daytoday performance management guidance to leaders, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary support.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues to maintain a productive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology or related field
    required
  • At least 15 years of progressive Human Resources management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated expertise across multiple HR disciplines
  • Proven experience in direct technical recruiting and/or leading a recruiting function
  • Successful track record working within a matrix organization
  • Proven analytical, problemsolving, and conflictresolution abilities in complex, multistakeholder environments
  • Extensive knowledge of local labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
