Role Description
Kratos has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Manager - Medium Voltage Solutions, to join the Kratos team. This role reports to the VP/GM and is responsible for defining, developing, and scaling medium voltage product offerings that support both current project-based solutions and the transition toward more standardized, configurable product platforms.
This position operates at the intersection of Sales, Engineering, and Operations, translating customer needs into clear product direction while driving consistency, scalability, and commercial success across the medium voltage portfolio. The Senior Product Manager serves as the product owner for Kratos' medium voltage solutions, providing technical leadership, shaping product strategy, supporting strategic customer opportunities, and helping expand Kratos' medium voltage capabilities and market presence.
Responsibilities
  • Own assigned medium voltage product families across the full lifecycle, supporting current engineered-to-order solutions while driving movement toward configurable and productized offerings
  • Develop and maintain the medium voltage product roadmap, balancing custom project demands with long-term standardization and platform development strategies
  • Translate voice of the customer (VOC) into clear product requirements, partnering closely with Engineering to define feasible, scalable solutions
  • Serve as a key subject matter expert for medium voltage switchgear, power distribution, controls, protection, and related critical power infrastructure
  • Act as the primary bridge between Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on product definition, priorities, and new product and feature delivery
  • Support the transition from project-based execution to repeatable product structures (CTO, modular design, and standard work)
  • Drive product definition including configurations, options, BOM structures, and documentation required for scalable execution
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams to improve product manufacturability, execution consistency, and field performance
  • Support strategic sales opportunities through customer engagement, solution development, technical presentations, and product positioning
  • Participate in key customer interactions, helping shape solutions for strategic opportunities and supporting executive-level customer discussions as needed
  • Support product launches including marketing data, sales team alignment, pricing, collateral, and internal training
  • Manage product performance including revenue, margin, win/loss trends, market adoption, and actions required to improve business results
  • Conduct competitive, market, and technology analysis to identify portfolio gaps, growth opportunities, and positioning strategies
  • Identify and evaluate new medium voltage product opportunities, technologies, and partnerships that support Kratos' long-term growth strategy
  • Contribute to long-term product strategy, including platform development and portfolio rationalization
  • Support S&OP and forecasting activities to align demand, supply, and product strategy

Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, engineering, applications engineering, power systems, operations, or a related field
  • Experience in medium voltage power distribution, switchgear, data centers, utilities, industrial power systems, or engineered electrical systems strongly preferred
  • Experience working in project-based or engineered-to-order environments preferred
  • Exposure to product standardization, modular design, or configure-to-order models is a strong plus
  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical discussions and strategic sales opportunities preferred

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
  • Strong ability to translate customer needs into structured product definitions
  • Strong knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems, switchgear, controls, protection, and related critical power infrastructure
  • Systems thinker able to connect commercial demand, engineering constraints, and operational execution
  • Comfortable building structure, process, and product definition within a rapidly evolving and partially standardized environment
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influence without direct authority
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Analytical mindset with experience evaluating product and market performance
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, BOM structures, electrical power distribution systems, switchgear, switchboards, power quality, controls, or related critical power infrastructure preferred
  • Ability to travel approximately 20-30% for customer interaction, internal alignment, and industry events

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
• MBA, PE license, or advanced technical degree preferred
