Job description

Kratos has an exciting opportunity for a CCS-C Technical Advisor/CTF Lead

The ideal candidate has over five years of experience in personnel management, operations support, and IT systems. A strong background in the Command and Control - Consolidated (CCS-C) system and associated satellite programs is highly desirable. Familiarity with the government sustainment lifecycle, along with relevant experience in development, testing, engineering, and integration, is preferred. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical concepts both orally and in writing to government and military customers and users. Self-motivation and leadership capabilities are essential. The selected applicant will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required. This position is based in Colorado Springs, CO, at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB).


  • The position requires an active Security+ Certificate with CE
  • A minimum SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • 5 - 7 years experience in either: MILSATCOM Operations, Systems Administration or Management
  • Candidates must have at least five years of experience in space operations or a bachelor's degree in a relevant space-related field.
  • Experience guiding a diverse group of engineers across multiple disciplines
  • Performs Leadership duties as needed to include: personnel assessments, mentoring, planning and milestone assessments, and administration of CCS-C System
  • Support ground system readiness activities including customer/user interactions, on-call support
  • Hosting and/or supporting meetings with military/government stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
  • Articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the government
  • The role requires the ability to travel for up to two weeks per year (less than 5% of the time) and be physically present at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB) five days a week. Due to the 24/7 operational environment, occasional on-call support is required.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with CCS-C and associated satellite systems is highly desirable.
  • A strong background in maintaining and sustaining IT systems is preferred, particularly in an operational and/or test environment.
  • Familiarity with system administration, troubleshooting, and deployment processes is beneficial.
  • Experience working with technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, Java/C++, Networking/Cisco, Linux, Windows, Active Directory, Docker/Kubernetes, NAS/SAN, VMware, and Ansible is a plus.
  • Candidates with a system deployment/operations/test background who can apply their expertise to system administration, sustainment, and troubleshooting will be well suited for this role.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000
